Tomorrow it’s I Can’t Believe It’s Not Cider at Pitcher & Piano and I’m actually really excited because the laydeeez from my course will be there to see me play for the first time and then to stay and drink ourselves silly afterwards. It’ll probably be a typically noisy gig where no one’s listening but I have a hunch it’ll be good. It’ll be weird playing without Albutt and Josh, I’ll feel NAKED AND VULNERABLE.
Then it’s off to London on Friday to see David and Donal, then FUCKING PARTY at Josh, Ollie, Nadia and Ciemuna’s! That I cannot wait for. It’s gonna be packed and I’d better get a soft slumber nook somewhere, please. Gutted Albert and Matty can’t make it but hey they disgust me anyway.

SO GOOD. I reaaally want to see the original Swedish films. My mum’s going to see it tonight, I warned her about steel rods and cats… she loves it.
The one thing I do miss from the Bubbz days is the clothes. Just look at that jacket. Just look at that headdress.

Kanye West - Flashing Lights (feat. Dwele)
Since we started Soundboard Kanye has probably been the artist with the most features, but this is my first so here’s another for the Soundboard/Kanye archive!
I only recently got into him (thanks to Zach) and now completely get the hype. On Thursday night my band and I drove to London and got to drive through the most rich and glamorous areas of central London. We were listening to Kanye and this song came on and it felt so perfect for the moment, in the most film-like, clichéd, magnificent way possible. It was nighttime and all the lights were dazzling as we passed The Ritz, along Regents Street and even through Piccadilly Circus (that was ultimately the coolest driving-moment I’ve ever had). It was hilarious because we were surrounded by Bentleys, BMWs, Chryslers and Royces, and there was my little Peugeot 106 amidst the chaotic glamour.
I’ll always think of that incredible drive when I hear this.
